Here summer has officially started, summer vacation began mercury has started touching 90°, Yeah..the only wow factor of summer is watermelon. Its a perfectly packed and wrapped nature's gift for summer. I always wonders about watermelon for its vibrant color combination, a dark lovely textured green on the outer side, beautiful pink which accenture's with black seeds and perfect white which enhances all these bold colors.
Coming to this recipe, to make the body cool in the summer heat, it is advised to maintain the hydration in our body. Watermelon juice rather than helping the body to balance its hydration but also a very tastier option. I never dilute watermelon juice, but if you prefer diluted juice, you can do this by adding water and sugar in the ratio of 1:1/4, 1 cup of water and 1/4th cup of sugar. I did not add lemon juice as I love the sweetness of watermelon.
Watermelon - 1/4th of regular size
Mint leaves - 1 stalk
Sugar - 1/4th cup or as you desire
Ginger - 1"
How to make:
Slide knife through the melon and cut into big chunks. Blend all the ingredients in the blender / mixer. Sieve the mixture with strainer.
Serve it immediately and chilled by adding ice cubes. Beat the summer heat in a healthier way.
