As it is the harvest festival, it is celebrated with wide variety of dishes served over the banana leaf. Traditionally, 24 and above variety of dishes will be served for a single course. From Parippu, sambar, rasam, pullissery, curd with sides like avial, thoran, kalan, olan, pachadi, pickle and also with papadam, plantain chips and banana. With payasam, a sweet dish will be served finally as the dessert.
Its an astonishing moment to view the entire platter with huge array of dishes served. So far I have only few of my recipes here in my blog, but for sure I will come up with more such interesting recipes here.
