Beans Mezhugupuratti
Beans mezhukkupuratti is a delicious South Indian style spiced green bean stir fry. It is a simple, healthy comforting side dish to serve with rice.

Ingredients

onion

red chili

black mustard seeds

urad dal

Instructions
Grind chopped onion, red chilies, and garlic into fine paste. Keep aside.
Wash and clean spring beans well and cut them into small sized pieces.
Heat ½ cup water and beans to a pan. Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes in medium flame. Drain excess water if any(use this water for other dish).
In a pan, add vegetable oil followed by black mustard seeds, urad dal, and curry leaves. Wait till the mustard splutters.
Add the ground onion paste.
In simmer flame, saute it until it leaves out the raw flavor. Add a teaspoon of vegetable oil if needed.
Now add cooked beans.
In medium flame, continue to saute it until beans are well coated with the ground masala.
Add grated coconut and remove Stir fry green beans from the fire.
Serve beans mezhukkupuratti kerala style hot with rice.
