How to make
Wash and clean cranberries, carrots, and jalapeno. Fresh cranberries are as hard as a stone. Discard soft and spongy berries, as they may spoil the salad. Choose carrots of your choice; if they are sweet, it's a double bonanza.
Chop cranberries, carrots, and jalapeno in similar bite sizes. If you cannot bear the heat of the jalapeno/chili, deseed them. Add all these chopped goodies and the required amount of salt in a serving bowl.
Combine them well and keep them aside for 10-15 minutes. This resting time makes the carrots absorb tanginess from the cranberries.
Serve this super tangy Cranberry salad as the appetizer or as the side. This salad is a versatile recipe and can be served with bread or rice as a layer in the sandwich. It is also an excellent substitute for pickles.
