If you want me to describe the taste of this recipe, then I would say it is delicious but extremely spicy, excellently pairs up with a bland main course like, steamed plain rice and simple pasta.

Shrimp as everyone knows already that it gets cooked within minutes, a blessing to the busy kitchen.

When a recipe does not need a preparing time and asks for just a couple of ingredients, then why waiting? Try this recipe, and I'm sure you will also enjoy the same.

Here, I have to specially mention, this spicy sriracha shrimp bowl needs just one pan including the pasta. So, just a pan for cleaning, how awesome is this right(I can hear the person's heart who is doing all the dishes).

Mayo. Reduce the spice level by adding mayonnaise. The sriracha mayo shrimp is creamy and delicious with much lower spiciness. Stir in mayo once the shrimp cooked. 

Honey. Alternatively, you can also try honey sriracha shrimp, in this variation stir in honey at the final stages of cooking. This is Asian style glossy, hot and sweet shrimp. 

Lime. Make sriracha lime shrimp by squeezing lime and drizzle salt at the end of cooking. The lime takes away the spiciness and gives another dimension to the recipe.

Though pasta is the ideal pair with this spicy shrimp. But these are extremely great to serve with the taco, ramen noodles, or in the salad. 

Does sriracha shrimp marinade need?

The shrimp would taste great with the marinade. But we do not have control by guessing the spiciness of the sauce. So I would recommend to cook the shrimp first and add the sauce later according to our preference.

What type of pasta is good?

Any pasta verity is good to pair up with a sriracha shrimp. Simple, less seasoned is perfect to my knowledge.

How to make Sriracha shrimp pasta

Heat 1 tablespoon of cooking oil in a pan. Add chopped garlic and saute for a minute until they turn golden brown in color.

Add washed and cleaned shrimp with ¼th teaspoon of salt.

In the medium to simmer flame, continue to cook it. Flip on to the other side occasionally. This process may take about 4-6 minutes.

Once the shrimps are completely cooked, add Sriracha sauce and saute until the sauce coats the shrimp well. Remove from fire and transfer Sriracha Shrimp to the serving plate.

Hint: Decide the quantity of Sriracha as per your taste level. We love the spiciness and add about 2 tablespoon for this quantity.

Finally toss with the cooked pasta before serving.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic   chopped
  • 1 cup shrimp raw and deveined
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 2 cup pasta cooked

Instructions

  • Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Add chopped garlic and saute for a minute until they slightly change its color.
  • Add washed and cleaned shrimp with ¼th teaspoon of salt.
  • In the medium to simmer flame, continue to cook it for about 3 minutes on each side.
  • Once the shrimps are completely cooked, add Sriracha sauce.
  • Saute until the sauce coats the shrimp well.
  • Remove from fire and Toss it with pasta or serve as a side.

Notes

If you are using cooked shrimp, thaw and toss.
If the shrimp turns opaque and C shaped, means the shrimps are cooked well.
Serve along with steamed plain rice, or less seasoned pasta.
The recipe is extremely spicy, so caution while adding sauce while cooking.
If you are adding lesser sriracha sauce, then add tomato ketchup to get this spicier look.
