If you point me and ask, I would say this 'Teriyaki chicken' is my cheat version of this recipe, which can amuse my son. Every mom has their cheat recipes to satisfy their children.

Immediately after coming from our kid's favorite restaurant, the most challenging task starts for the mom, which is nothing but replicating that recipe.
Teriyaki Chicken is a famous Japanese food usually prepared with thigh meat, but I always opt for breast meat for this cheat version.
We loved to have chicken breast soaked with Teriyaki sauce, so pounding the chicken breast would provide a better result.
Chicken Breast meat is versatile; simple ingredients and a little twist make it an exotic dish. Have you checked my recent simple recipes for Lemon Chicken, Tandoori Chicken, and Bok Choy chicken?
For making a Teriyaki Chicken Recipe, Why unnecessarily make the teriyaki sauce from scratch for instant preparations when super good ready-to-use Teriyaki Sauce is available in stores?
The store-bought sauces can reduce half of our burden. Our work is to marinate the chicken and bake it.
Teriyaki Chicken Recipe - My Cheat Version
Ingredients:
4 Thinly sliced chicken breast
¼ Cup (any brand) of Teriyaki Sauce
1 tablespoon of Sesame seeds
How to make
1. Wash and clean chicken breasts and pound them gently. Marinate with teriyaki sauce for about half an hour.
2. Bake it in the preheated oven at 350 degrees F for 15-20 min by flipping them occasionally.
3. Once the chicken breast is cooked down thoroughly, remove it from the oven. Drizzle a little sauce again over the cooked chicken, which would give a beautiful glaze over the chicken. Sprinkle some sesame seeds to make them more appealing. Serve with a bead of lettuce salad or a bowl of rice.
Tips and Variations:
Cut it into the desired size and shape for making bite-size teriyaki chicken, and then bake it. Do not forget to look into other Indo-Chinese recipes like Szechuan Noodles and Gobi Manchurian.

Hi can i know whether i can NOT marinate the chicken thighs?
Sujatha Muralidhar
You can also use the same recipe for making with chicken thighs as well.

Do you bake the chicken with the marinade in the same dish that you marinated it in? Or do you discard the marinade & bake in a separate dish?
Sujatha Muralidhar
I use different tray to bake the chicken and I generally discard the remaining marinade.
Debbie
Can you cut up the chicken in chunks and fry the chicken then pour the sauce in as it cooks
Sujatha Muralidhar
Debbie, Sauce can be added while cooking the chicken also. But I would strongly suggest to marinate the chicken minimum for 10 minutes prior to cooking.

I forgot to pound my chicken, but marinated for an hour and it was excellent. Easy weeknight meal, especially using a rice cooker for the rice. I used Annie Chun's gluten-free teriyaki and it already has sesame seeds, so super-easy and the sauce isn't too sweet, which I prefer. Thanks for the easy, kid-friendly recipe!
