Watermelon lemonade recipe, super simple, great for parties and large gatherings. A very healthy and refreshing drink, made with fresh watermelon and lemon.

Watermelon mint lemonade is an all-time favorite of mine.

I have used fresh watermelon and lemon to make this drink. Fresh fruit juices taste refreshing, like this fresh pineapple juice and kiwi milkshake. And store-bought artificially flavored juices can never come close to these.

The watermelon I bought was sweet enough to require no extra sugar. But If you wish, you may sugar as per your requirement.

The hint of mint leaf flavor makes everyone love this watermelon mint lemonade. I bet your guest would shower you with appreciation.

The watermelon lemonade recipe is quite popular in our family during summer. A giant watermelon is huge enough to last for a couple of days.

I must accept that we have become addicted to watermelon's flavor and excellent taste. So, we hunted for new recipes to enjoy the watermelon to the maximum.

To our surprise, watermelon tastes excellent in every recipe we have made. And this watermelon lemonade recipe has a special mention on our list.

Whenever I make this delicious watermelon mint lemonade, I select a large pitcher and set it on the kitchen counter. This way, we can easily have multiple servings during the day.

This delicious summer watermelon lemonade mint is best for the outdoor summer party. Here in the United States, summer is intense. If you are making this for serving outdoors, I would suggest adding a lot more ice, to make it suitable to stay for up to 4 hours because watermelon loses its refreshing flavor in warm temperatures.

Serving ideas

This watermelon mint lemonade drink is versatile and tastes great however you serve. But the following three are our all-time favorites.

Simple lemonade. The natural juice of watermelon is already in the drinkable form. So, serving as it brings tremendous satisfaction while drinking.

With Ice cubes. Fill the glass with ice cubes, and stir in this energy drink. This one is the classic way of serving.

With sparkling water. To a glass, stir in our lemonade sparkling water and top with ice cubes. This way of serving is pleasant for serving at the party. And we feel rejuvenated in every sip.

Make a cocktail. Feel free to combine it with your favorite drink and create a new variation of cocktails or mocktails.

Serving Ideas of watermelon mint lemonade, with ice cubes, with sparkling water, or with coconut water. The variation for making this summer drink are, fresh cut fruits, lime juice, jalapeno, mint leaves, cucumber.

Recipe variations

Fresh-cut fruits. Stir chopped fresh fruits in the watermelon mint lemonade for a chewy texture. Select contact-looking fruits in the pink watermelon to give an idea for making the lemonade more pleasing.

Lime juice. Instead of lemon juice in this recipe, use lime juice. Gives a strong, rich flavor.

Basil leaves. Basil leaves complement the watermelon's flavor beautifully. A few leaves work perfectly for this recipe. Stir them to the pitcher. Allow the fruity lemonade to infuse with mint's flavor naturally. Feel the magic of bright, rich lemonade with a hint of basil.

Jalapeno. You may think it does not make the mint watermelon lemonade spicy. Deseed them according to your individual preference. Core and deseed them entirely if you want to have jalapeno just for its flavor. And leave a few seeds on, and make lemonade with mild heat. Try this variation and appreciate yourself for choosing this modification.

Cucumber. Another fresh ingredient to pair with watermelon. They gel with each other and form a fabulous drink when combined.

Strawberry. Combine 2 cups of watermelon and 1 cup of strawberry to serve watermelon strawberry lemonade. But taste it before adding sugar. The sweet strawberry needs less sugar, and vice versa.

How long will it take to make?

It requires a few minutes. The more time involved in watermelon lemonade is cutting and blending the fruit. The rest is super easy. Even a child could handle it. Engage your adult children in stirring and arranging when preparing for the party. They will love this, as the drink looks attractive to work with.

How long does this stay good?

Fresh fruit drink tastes better when freshly made. And this rule applies here in this Watermelon mint lemonade as well. This refreshing summer drink stays suitable for up to 2 hours outdoors. But, adding more ice cubes helps to extend the storing time.

Can I make this drink in advance?

Watermelon is a delicate fruit; invariably, it's a good idea to enjoy it with freshness. But when you are making for a crowd, make the watermelon juice concentrate. Combine the puree with the remaining ingredients within an hour before serving.
