Cranberry jalapeno dip

8 oz cream cheese   1 cup mayonnaise   1 tablespoon lemon juice   ⅛ teaspoon salt   ½ teaspoon minced garlic   1 cup cranberries   1 jalapeno pepper,  deseeded  1 cup sugar
