French Toast Breakfast Casserole Blueberries: An easy make-ahead recipe with sourdough bread, eggs, and blueberries. Perfect for breakfast or brunch, topped with maple syrup.

3 cups sourdough bread chunks 1 cup blueberries 4 eggs 1 cup milk ¼ cup maple syrup or blueberry syrup ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

INGREDIENTS

Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a deep baking dish. Combine sourdough bread chunks and blueberries in dish and set aside.

In a mixing bowl, beat eggs, milk, syrup, and ground cinnamon until frothy. Pour mixture over bread and berries.

Cover and bake for 25 minutes. Then uncover and bake for additional 30 minutes until casserole is done.

Allow to cool for 10 minutes.

1. Allow bread to soak in egg mixture for at least 30 minutes for maximum flavor. 2. Bake at a lower temperature (325F) for a longer time to prevent the casserole from drying out.
