Pomegranate Raita

Try Pomegranate Raita with yogurt and pomegranate seeds. A touch of chili makes it exciting. It's great with rice or bread!

½ cup pomegranate seeds,  ¾ cup plain yogurt / Curd,  ½ teaspoon salt (approximately),  ¼ teaspoon red chili powder

INGREDIENTS

In a serving bowl, combine ½ cup pomegranate seeds, ¾ cup plain yogurt, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon red chili powder. Mix gently to retain the unique flavors of the fruit.

For a spicier version, add more chili powder. Avoid overpowering spices like cumin, black salt, or pepper to keep the unique flavor of pomegranate.

Ensure the curd is not too sour. Make fresh Pomegranate Raita just before serving. If planning for parties, deseed pomegranate in advance and refrigerate.

Combine with curd, chili powder, and salt before serving. For garnishing, sprinkle a pinch of red chili powder on top. Serve Pomegranate Raita immediately with spicy rice dishes.

TIPS  Use fresh curd that is not too sour., Make the raita just before serving to retain freshness., If planning for parties, deseed the pomegranate in advance and refrigerate., Keep the fruit proportionate to the quantity of curd for a delicious taste., For a sweeter version, add sugar instead of chili powder.
