Trinidad pepper shrimp

Trinidad pepper shrimp is a quick and easy spicy stir-fry dish made with shrimp, black and green pepper, and a variety of flavorful ingredients. It is best served with pasta or brown rice, making it a healthy option for weeknight dinners.

1 tablespoon sesame oil  1 tablespoon garlic, minced   1 tablespoon ginger, grated  1 lb shrimp, deveined  ½ cup green bell pepper, sliced  ¼ cup pimento peppers, sliced

- ½ teaspoon salt  ¼ cup cilantro, chopped    2 tablespoons thyme, fresh 1 tablespoon lime juice  1 teaspoon soy sauce  2 tablespoons tomato ketchup  1 teaspoon whole black pepper

In a pan over low-medium heat, combine sesame oil, garlic, ginger, shrimp, green bell pepper, pimento pepper, and salt. Stir to combine.

In a mixing bowl, combine tofu cubes, soy sauce, chili garlic sauce, and cornstarch. Let marinate for 10-15 minutes.

Reduce heat, add culantro, thyme, lime juice, soy sauce, tomato ketchup, and black pepper. Stir to coat the shrimp.

Increase heat to high and continue to cook until the spices coat the shrimp evenly.

1. When cooking shrimp, it's important to not overcook them as they can become rubbery.  2. To enhance the flavor of the dish, allow the spices and ingredients to thoroughly coat the shrimp by tossing them.
