Instructions
Over medium heat, in the pressure cooker pan, add vegetable oil, cumin seeds.
Allow the cumin seeds to sizzle in the oil until it changes it color slightly.
Then add onion and saute till onion becomes pink and soft.
Then add chopped tomato and fry for few more minutes till tomato becomes mushy.
Then add red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and Garam masala. Saute for a minute but without burning the spice powder mix.
Then add green chili, toor dal, salt, and water.
Close the lid and seal the vent of the cooker. And pressure cook it in high heat for 1 whistle and 12 minutes in low heat.
Add coriander leaves and butter. And serve Dal Thadka hot with rice or roti.
