Ingredients

lb
taro
/ Seppan-kilangu
2
teaspoon
rice flour
2
teaspoon
red chili powder
¾
teaspoon
salt
or as required

tablespoon
vegetable oil
for frying
Instructions
Pressure cook taro for 4 minutes. Or cook it for 15 minutes on high heat over stovetop.
Remove the skin and mash them.
In a mixing bowl, add mashed taro, rice flour, red chili powder, and salt.
Combine all the ingredients well. And divide into small balls around 2 inch in diameter.
Pat each taro ball gently to make flat circles. Set aside.
Over medium heat, in a pan add 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil.
Arrange these taro circles without crowding the pan.
Shallow fry them until both the sides become golden in color.
Repeat for the remaining taro circles.
Yam Vadai can be tea time snack or can also be a wonderful side dish.
