Ingredients

vegetable oil

black mustard seeds

urad dal
/skinless black gram

tsp
cumin seeds

sprig
curry leaves

onion
finely chopped

tomato
roughly chopped

water

teaspoon
turmeric powder

green chili
/ serrano pepper

teaspoon
salt

cooked black chana
/black chickpea
Instructions
Over medium heat, place a pan. Add vegetable oil followed by mustard seeds, urad dal, cumin seeds.
Wait till the mustard splutters, the add curry leaves, saute for a second.
Add chopped onions, and saute in medium-low heat, saute them till it turns pink.
Add chopped tomatoes, saute them, so that it gets half cooked and not mushy.
Add a cup of water, followed by turmeric powder, green chilies, and salt.
Add cooked black chana and allow it to cook in medium heat.
Once the onion and tomatoes get cooked completely, Remove from the heat.
Transfer them to the serving bowl.
