Ingredients

peanuts
raw & with shell on

salt

cajun seasoning
Instructions
Wash and rinse raw, shell on peanuts.
Add to the instant pot’s steel container.
Add salt and water.
Make sure that the level of the water and peanut should not exceed ⅔ of the steel container.
Close the lid keep the vent in the ceiling position.
Set the timer manually for 45 minutes and cook.
Allow the pressure to release naturally(it would normally take 10-12 minutes)
Open the lid, stir in cajun seasoning and serve peanuts along with water.
Notes
Add seasoning ingredients like red chili powder, cayenne pepper if preferred. This is optional.
The cooking time varies depends on the shell's thickness and the size of the peanuts.
So, after 10 minutes of the cooking cycle, open the lid and check the peanut’s doneness.
If it is not done well, repeat cooking for 5 or 10 minutes depends on the texture of the nut.
Minimize or increase the quantity of the cajun seasoning to suit your individual heat tolerance.
