Onion Bajji Recipe and Kesari is a traditional combo to be served festive occasions in South Indian Families. Forget buying ready made and chemical preservative. Bajji or Fritters whatever name you call it, Tastier food are tastier everywhere.

- 1 Cup Chickpea flour /besan
- 2 tbsp Corn Flour
- 1 tsp Sambar Powder
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/4 tsp Salt or as required
- 2 Cup Cooking Oil for Frying
Add Bengal gram flour, corn flour, sambar powder, baking soda, and salt to a bowl.
Add water to form medium consistency paste. The consistency determines the thickness of the bajjis coating. So, If you prefer thicker bajjis, make the flour consistency thicker and vise verse.
Opt for big round onions and slice into medium thickness. Very thin slices are very tough to work with. Dip these slices in the dough, and drop it immediately into the hot oil. Deep fry it till it becomes golden brown in color and crispy. Drain it and place it in the paper towel which removes excess cooking oil.
Serve with your favorite condiments. Traditionally, coconut chutney will be served as a side.
