This Jalapeno Garlic Bread is embarrassingly easy to make. And one thing you find in every bite of this jalapeño and garlic bread is loaded with creamy, garlicky, and spicy butter.

I prepare the jalapeño garlic butter mixture, spread it over the bread, and bake it before serving. It all takes under 15 minutes.

Ingredients 

  • Bread. I've used a French baguette, but an Italian ciabatta, a sourdough loaf, or any other bread you choose works just as well. 
  • Garlic. I highly recommend using fresh minced garlic.
  • Jalapeños. Adjust the quantity mentioned in the recipe based on your heat preference. 
  • Butter. I've used unsalted butter. If you use salted butter, you can skip adding the salt(mentioned in the recipe).
  • Parsley. A sprinkling of fresh parsley adds flavor and provides a pleasing contrast to the creamy butter.
  • Cheese. A generous sprinkle of Mozzarella gives our jalapeno garlic bread a beautiful golden crust and gooey, irresistible insides.

How To Make Jalapeno Garlic Bread?

  1. Heat the oven to 375°F and slice the French loaf lengthwise into two halves. Mix softened butter, minced garlic, chopped jalapeños, and salt in a small bowl until smooth.

  1. Add a generous amount of the prepared butter mixture to each half of the bread.

  1. Spread the mixture evenly across the bread.

  1. Then sprinkle with shredded Mozzarella cheese and garnish with jalapeno slices. Bake for 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden. Slice and serve warm.

♨️How To Control The Heat

This jalapeno garlic bread is moderately hot. You can control the heat by removing the seeds and membranes or reducing the amount of jalapeno.

Variations

  • Extra Cheesy. Add Parmesan to the mix for an extra cheesy delight.
  • Herby. Throw in some basil or oregano into the butter for a herby twist.
  • Spicy. If you love heat, mix red pepper flakes or toss some fajita seasoning for Mexican-style bread.
  • Vegan. Swap regular butter with vegan butter and use a vegan cheese substitute.

Leftovers & Reheating

This jalapeno garlic bread is also a great leftover recipe. You can refrigerate it for up to 3 days or freeze it for up to 3 months.

Then, reheat it. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 8-10 minutes or air fry for about 3 minutes. It tastes like a freshly made side dish every time.

Top Tip

If you like this bread with a crunchy crust, pop it under the broiler for 1-2 minutes after baking. But watch it closely to avoid burning!

Can I make this jalapeno garlic bread in advance?

You can prepare the garlic-jalapeno butter up to a week in advance. Transfer the prepped butter to the refrigerator in an airtight container. When ready to bake, slather it onto your bread, sprinkle it with cheese, and bake!

What can I serve with?

This dish is excellent to enjoy as it is. However, when serving for dinner, serve with pasta, soup, or salad.

Jalapeno Garlic Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 French loaf
  • ½ cup butter softened
  • 2 tablespoon garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoon jalapeno finely chopped
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese grated

Instructions

Preparation of Oven and Bread

  1. Start by preheating the oven to 375°F.
  2. Slice the French loaf into two in lengtwise.

Prepare the Butter Mixture

  1. In a small mixing bowl, add the softened butter, minced garlic, finely chopped jalapeños, and salt.
  2. Stir until the ingredients are well-blended and achieve a smooth paste.

Assemble the Bread:

  1. Generously spread the butter mixture over each inner side of the bread.
  2. Now sprinkle the shredded Mozzarella on the top.

Bake

  1. Place the prepared jalapeño cheese bread on a baking tray lined with parchment paper or lightly greased.
  2. Bake in the oven for approximately 15 minutes until the Mozzarella cheese on the top turns bubbling and golden.
