  • Honey: The regular honey you generally use in your kitchen works perfectly. You can also use organic honey or manuka honey.
  • Hot sauce: I have used Frank's hot sauce, but you can substitute any other brand.
  • Salt: Adjust the amount to your preference.
  • Red chili flakes: I have used roasted red pepper flakes. Adjust the amount according to your preference and heat tolerance.

How To Make The Hot Honey Sauce?

  1. Add honey, roasted red peppers, hot sauce, and salt to a bowl. Place the bowl over boiling water and stir for 2-3 minutes until the honey thins.

Here is how to make hot honey sauce! This drizzle recipe is easier to spice up your breakfast or the drink with two pantry-ready ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon roasted red peppers
  • teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium heat, place a saucepan filled half with water and bring it to a rolling boil.
  2. Meanwhile, add honey, roasted red peppers, hot sauce, and salt to mixing bowl and place them over the saucepan(make sure the bottom of the glass bowl does not touch the water level).
  3. And stir the honey continuously with a spatula for about 2-3 minutes or until the honey is slightly thin down.
  4. Remove it from the heat, and allow it to cool to room temperature.
  5. Then transfer it to an airtight container and ENJOY!!

Notes

  • Adjust heat by tweaking the amount of red pepper flakes or hot sauce.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 months or freeze for six months.
  • Warm honey gently; Heating above 98°F can reduce its beneficial properties.
