SPICY ALFREDO SAUCE

This Spicy Alfredo Sauce is our go-to comfort sauce to make our weeknight dinner delicious. Simply mix the ingredients, simmer, add the cheese, and toss it with pasta. It's a quick, foolproof recipe that's perfect every time!

Creamy Spicy Alfredo Pasta Sauce served with pasta.

Like you, I believe that spices can turn a regular weeknight dinner into something special. That's why the idea of spicy Alfredo sauce has worked so well for our weeknight dinners.

The cozy flavors and the creamy sauce make it ideal for chilly evenings—the heat is not overwhelming, but a pleasant warmth you'll love.

I love its versatility(similar to this coconut milk alfredo sauce); You can customize it with my favorite herbs or veggies, bringing extra flavor each time.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

⭐️It tastes just as delicious as classic Alfredo sauce but with an added kick.

⭐️It's made with minimal ingredients and ready in under 15 minutes.

⭐️This foolproof recipe is perfect for family dinners.

Creamy Spicy Alfredo Pasta Sauce served with pasta.

Ingredients

  • Butter: I used unsalted butter, but if you're using salted butter, adjust the salt in the recipe. You can also substitute it with olive oil.
  • Heavy whipping cream: You can use milk for a lighter option.
  • Parmesan cheese: Freshly grated Parmesan cheese always tastes better.
  • Red pepper flakes: Adds robust flavors with a mild kick.
  • Garlic: What else can compared with freshly minced garlic? It is best to bring a complex aroma.
  • Italian seasoning: You can substitute with thyme, basil, oregano, or a combination.

How To Make Spicy Alfredo Sauce?

  • Over medium heat, place a pan. Add butter, cream, and minced garlic.
  • Allow butter to melt down.
  • Add Italian seasoning, roasted red pepper flakes, black pepper, and salt.
  • Cook for 3-4 minutes on low heat or until the mixture thickens.
  • Add parmesan cheese and stir continuously until the sauce becomes smooth.
  • Remove the pan from the heat and toss with pasta.

How To USe

  • Pasta sauce: Use this spicy alfredo sauce for making pasta dishes with penne, spaghetti, or gnocchi.
  • Pizza topping: Spread generously on pizza for a cheesy and creamy topping.
  • Salad dressing: Drizzle over salads(try this spicy broccoli salad).

♨️How To Adjust The Heat

Spicy Alfredo sauce has a gentle heat and warmth with a slightly spicy kick.

The roasted red pepper flakes and ground black pepper infuse heat into the recipe, so adjust it to match your preference.

Increase the amount of pepper flakes or add chili peppers or hot sauce to enhance the heat.

Storage & Leftovers

You can use the leftovers to make pasta, Alfredo pizza, a potato bake, or even mac and cheese.

You can store the spicy alfredo sauce in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. To reheat, microwave it gently for a minute or until warmed through. Add splash of water or milk to thin the consistency.

Freeze the sauce in a freezer-safe container for up to three months. Thaw in the fridge for at least 12 hours before serving.
