Cottage Cheese Peas Masala/ Paneer Mutter Masala

One of my very favorite dish which I prefer in restaurant. Every bite will get us out of the world....yes I really mean it. Its healthy too. As everyone knows that Paneer/Cottage Cheese is good source of calcium, which strengthens bone, teeth. Thus it helps in preventing osteoporosis, which commonly found among ladies. Paneer is low in calorie and is easily digestible. Paneer and peas combos plays a perfect role. Here we go for the recipe...

Cottage Cheese Peas Masala/ Paneer Mutter Masala

Ingredients:
Paneer - 1pocket
Peas / Mutter - 100gms
Onion - 1(medium size)
Tomato - 1(Big Size)
Ginger - 1"
Garlic - 3-4 cloves
Cinnamon - 1"
Aniseed - 1
Fresh Cream - 2tbsp
Oil - 3-4tbsp

Method:

Prep paneer and wash peas. Preping paneer is to  cut paneer into small cubes and shallow fry in little oil. Here I'm using store bought fried Paneer. Shallow frying the paneer, makes it firm in texture.

Peel and clean, onion, ginger and garlic. Chop them well..

Blanch tomato(cooking tomato in boiling water for about 2-3 min) and puree it(grinding cooked tomato into a paste).

In a pan add 2 tbsp of oil with cinnamon, star seed, and fry them till it emits its flavor.

Then add chopped onion, followed by chopped ginger and garlic(ginger garlic paste can also be added.

Once onion turns transulant, add 1/2 cup pf water.   Chili powder, Everest kitchen king masala.

Add peas too..and cook it for 5 min in high flame.

Once peas gets cooked, add paneer cubes and finally fresh cream..Here I have added fresh light cream, to avoid further calories(Sorry I haven't add the image of it)...Adding the Fresh cream, brings you the restaurant like taste..But it is purely optional..

Serve it with hot hot roties, fried rice....and whatever you prefer...
