This non-alcoholic Mojito recipe is perfect for people like me. It's a refreshing virgin cocktail drink for the summer.
I do not want to embarrass others without having a drink in my hand when I get into the crowd. I always try to make various homemade nonalcoholic drinks that are tasty and straightforward recipes like watermelon lemonade, jalapeno mojito, and orange punch.
Why You'll Love this Non-Alcoholic Mojito Recipe
Simple ingredients and nothing fancy: a refreshing drink made with simple ingredients. Perfect for enjoying on a hot summer day with the whole family.
Family’s Favorite: When my family chills in the backyard on a sunny day and requests a drink, I quickly whip up this alcohol-free mojito. It's always a hit!
Versatile: You can top or combine it with any flavors of your liking. Add some strawberries to create a virgin strawberry Mojito, or throw in a few deseeded jalapeño slices for a little kick. The choice is yours, but either way, it transforms into a delicious treat.
Making this recipe is easy, like counting 1,2,3, and even kids can make it. It is a perfect recipe to engage the children in the kitchen and the party preparations. Making this is always my son's task when we have gatherings at home.
The Ingredients
Fresh Limes: I have used fresh lime juice. However, you can also opt for bottled lime or fresh lemon juice.
Mint leaves: Fresh mint leaves work magic in this recipe. Just a couple of leaves are more than enough for this drink. I highly recommend using only fresh mint leaves for the best non-alcoholic mojito.
Simple syrup: Choose non-flavored simple syrup. I used store-bought simple syrup, although making it at home is easy (like this jalapeño simple syrup or honey syrup).
Sparkling water: I recommend using non-flavored sparkling water to enjoy the natural flavors of the lemon and mint. You can swap it with club soda.
The Directions
Add fresh lime juice, mint leaves, and simple syrup to a sturdy glass.
Using a muddler or a wooden spoon, gently press to release the natural flavors of the mint leaves.
Fill the glass three-quarters full with ice cubes.
Top it up with sparkling water or club soda.
Gently stir with a long spoon, and garnish with a lime slice or a sprig of mint.
Serve immediately.
Recipe Tips And Tricks
Press the mint leaves gently: To release a vibrant aroma, be careful not to press too hard or squeeze too much, as this can make the drink taste slightly bitter and overpower mint flavors.
Use cold ingredients: Before making the drink, refrigerate all components for at least two hours.
Highball glass: Using tall glasses makes the drink more appealing and delicious and helps arrange the right proportion of ice cubes and the lemonade mixture. Place lime wedges or lemon slices on the top of the glass.
Sparkling water: Prefer freshly opened sparkling water, as it tends to lose its fizz once opened. You can also substitute it with ginger ale.
Make ahead: When preparing large batches, prepare the lime juice and simple syrup in advance. Arrange the glasses, add ice cubes, and top with sparkling water before serving.
Planning for a party: You can gently crush the mint leaves in the food processor.
